Day 1 | Arrive and Settle In at Your Own Pace

After several hours of traveling, suitcases waiting to be unpacked, and an exciting new city ready to be discovered, the best thing you can do is arrive at the hotel and enjoy the pool and amenities. Day 2 | Magic Kingdom

With everyone feeling rested and recharged, it is time for the most iconic park of them all.

We recommend arriving before the park opens. It may sound excessive, but it truly is not: the first hour of the morning is worth three in the afternoon. Shorter lines, refreshed children, and that unforgettable feeling of entering while the park is still waking up.

Book your Lightning Lane selections as soon as your reservation window opens, and choose the two or three attractions your family is most excited to experience. You do not need to optimize all forty. Choosing three wisely and enjoying them at a relaxed pace is worth so much more.

In the middle of the afternoon, consider returning to the hotel. This is the move that transforms an enjoyable trip into an unforgettable one. Take a break, enjoy the pool, and have something delicious to eat without lines or noise. By 5:30 p.m., you can be back at the park feeling completely recharged just in time for the most magical part of the day: the nighttime shows and fireworks.

Day 3 | Universal Epic Universe

Orlando’s newest theme park opened in May 2025 and brings together five immersive worlds: Celestial Park, Dark Universe, How to Train Your Dragon (Isle of Berk, Super Nintendo World), and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter (Ministry of Magic).

And here is an exciting update that very few guides include yet: beginning July 7, 2026, evenings conclude with Universal Celestial Goodnight, a newly debuted fireworks spectacular. If you choose only one nighttime finale at Universal, make it this one.

One helpful note about tickets: when you purchase a Universal ticket for three days or more, you can use any one of those days to visit Epic Universe. It is definitely worth doing the math.

Day 4 | Everyone’s Favorite Day of the Week

This is the day most itineraries leave out. And without a doubt, it often becomes the most beloved.

No park. No alarm. No schedule.

This is what the perfect fourth day looks like.

In the morning, enjoy breakfast without rushing. This is where choosing a hotel that includes breakfast for the entire family becomes essential, you will not need to visit the supermarket, prepare meals, or clean the kitchen.

By mid-afternoon, the fun multiplies. This is when something beautiful happens that we witness every week: children who have just experienced four incredible theme parks look forward to this activity with even more excitement than the opening of any attraction. At sunset, if you are in the mood for a peaceful stroll, Celebration is only ten minutes away. This beautiful little town beside a lake was founded by Disney in the 1990s and features tree-lined streets, restaurants with sidewalk seating, and a farmers market on Sundays. You can explore it in about an hour, and it reveals a different and charming side of Orlando. If you prefer to continue relaxing, Movie Night begins by the hotel pool every evening at 7:00 p.m., with a new movie lineup each month.

In the evening, if you have decided to head out only at night, Disney Springs is a wonderful option. This Disney shopping, dining, and entertainment district is filled with restaurants, shows, stores from leading brands, live music, and countless surprises. Parking is complimentary, and it is less than 15 minutes from the hotel.

Day 5 | EPCOT or Hollywood Studios

Now, fully rested and recharged, it is time to return to the rhythm of the parks.

EPCOT is a wonderful choice for children ages six and older, as well as grandparents. It involves plenty of walking, but it is best enjoyed at a relaxed pace, and traveling around the world through its pavilions will create unforgettable memories for everyone. Pick up EPCOT passports and record, country by country, the regional dishes and signature drinks you sample at each stop.

Hollywood Studios brings together the energy of movies and adventure, and it often wins over children ages eight and older. If you are traveling with very young children, we recommend following the same rhythm as always: arrive early, take a mid-afternoon break, and return refreshed for the spectacular nighttime finale.

Day 6 | Animal Kingdom, Islands of Adventure, or SeaWorld

This is where the itinerary can change depending on how your family is feeling.

If everyone is full of energy, Islands of Adventure offers the most thrilling experiences at Universal Orlando Resort.

If you would prefer something more relaxed, Animal Kingdom is Disney’s most natural and walkable park. Only three of its attractions have minimum height requirements, allowing families with young children to experience almost everything together.

If you are traveling with children ages four to nine, SeaWorld may become the unexpected favorite of the entire trip.

Day 7 | Finish on a High Note

We did not plan the final day around a theme park. This day is about ending your vacation beautifully and without rushing.

A peaceful option: Kissimmee Lakefront Park, located along Lake Tohopekaliga, features a new accessible playground with a circular ramp, a splash pad, a fishing pier, and the Monument of States. Admission is free, and early in the morning, the scenery is picture-perfect. It is an ideal place for a family picnic, outdoor fun, and time together.

An animal adventure: Gatorland, known as the “Alligator Capital of the World” since 1949, features a zip line over the marsh, a splash park, and an aviary where tiny birds may perch right on your hand. Adult admission is $34.99, while tickets for children ages 3 to 12 are $24.99.

A shopping day: Orlando is filled with incredible outlets and malls that, for many families, become an essential part of the vacation. Here are some of the most popular:
